AMD Releases Adrenalin 26.7.1 WHQL Drivers With Radeon RX 9050 Support

AMD has officially released AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.7.1 WHQL, introducing support for the newly announced Radeon RX 9050 4 GB and 8 GB graphics cards while delivering several stability fixes for Radeon users.

The latest WHQL-certified driver adds compatibility for the entry-level RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 9050 series and provides day-one support for Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta Early Access and Out of Control Evolution.

Fixed Issues

AMD has resolved multiple issues affecting Radeon RX 7000 series and newer GPUs, including:

• Rendering failures and model flickering in Blender and Maxon Cinema 4D.
• Intermittent Blender crashes on Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs.
• Missing directional indicators in Fortnite.
• Crashes when using AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1 on Windows 10.
• An issue where FSR Upscaling and FSR Frame Generation appeared inactive in Battlefield 6 on Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards.

Known Issues

AMD notes that several issues are still under investigation:

• Driver timeouts and crashes may occur while playing Battlefield 6 on systems powered by Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processors.
• Texture corruption or flickering can appear in Battlefield 6 when using AMD Record & Stream.
• AI Bundle installation may fail in some regions with restricted access to GitHub or Hugging Face.
• Smart Access Memory (SAM) may become disabled after installing the driver on Windows 10.

Early User Feedback

Initial community reactions have been mixed. While many users reported improved stability and appreciated the fixes for the Radeon RX 7000 series, several players said Battlefield 6 continues to experience hard lockups on certain maps despite the update. Others reported the game running more reliably after installing the new driver.

AMD says it is actively working with developers to resolve the remaining Battlefield 6 issues in future driver releases.
