SILVASSA : The Crime Branch of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu has cracked down on a suspected multi-state online investment fraud by arresting two people accused of luring investors with promises of guaranteed returns through platforms including BotBro, Bot Alpha, Cross Market, Trade Craft and BG Wealth.
The arrests came during the investigation of FIR No. 01/2026, registered after a complainant alleged he was cheated into investing his hard-earned money on the promise of 5–7% monthly returns, complete safety of capital and high-value TLC Tokens. Police suspect that many more investors across multiple states may have fallen victim to the alleged scam.
The arrested accused have been identified as Anjali Yadav, a resident of Vapi originally from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, and Milan Kumar Dineshbhai Mahala, a resident of Dharampur in Gujarat’s Valsad district. Both were arrested on July 13, 2026.
“The accused allegedly attracted investors through false promises, displayed fictitious profits on online dashboards and organised promotional events in Daman, Dubai and Thailand to gain public trust,” Crime Branch officials said.
Investigators said the platforms frequently changed their identities to continue collecting investments. Victims were later instructed to withdraw their funds through USDT (Tether cryptocurrency), but the promised money was allegedly never credited.
Police have also identified the alleged involvement of Lavish Choudhary alias Nawab Ali, believed to be the kingpin behind an unregulated MLM-based investment network operating across several states.
“The investigation is continuing to trace the money trail, identify additional victims, uncover the full conspiracy and arrest the remaining accused,” the Crime Branch said.
Authorities have appealed to investors who may have invested through these platforms to come forward and assist the ongoing investigation.
