BHILAD: In a significant step toward strengthening industry-ready skills, trainees from the Indian Textile and Apparel Development Centre (ITADC) undertook an intensive industrial visit to Indo Count Industries Limited, Bhilad, where they witnessed cutting-edge textile production and wet processing technologies in action.

The visit, organised under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and managed by MANTRA (The Man-Made Textiles Research Association), Surat, included 10 trainees and 3 staff members as part of the Textile Skill Development Training Programme.

The trainees were given a comprehensive walkthrough of key production units, including warping, sizing, pinning-in, drawing-in and high-speed air jet weaving departments, offering them first-hand exposure to large-scale industrial operations.

In the wet processing division, industry experts demonstrated critical processes such as 4-point grey inspection, singeing, de-sizing, bleaching, dyeing, rotary screen printing, stenter operations, and raising machine functionality.

“Understanding how laboratory concepts are implemented at an industrial scale is essential for building future-ready textile professionals,” said an industry expert during the session.

During the visit, the trainees interacted with Mr. Dinanath Mishra, DGM (HR & IR – Home Textiles), Indo Count Industries, who explained the company’s global operations and commitment to quality.

“Our Bhilad facility manufactures premium bed linen products exported to markets in Japan, Europe, Saudi Arabia and the United States. Quality and innovation remain at the core of our operations,” Mr. Mishra said.

He also credited the company’s growth to the leadership of Executive Chairman Anil Kumar Jain, Executive Vice Chairman Mohit Jain, and Whole-time Director Kamal Mitra.

Officials said the visit helped trainees gain a deeper understanding of global textile standards, production efficiency and industrial quality systems, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world applications.

The programme was coordinated by ITADC In-charge Akshay Chauhan, with guidance from Dipankar Das and Nilesh Patel, who facilitated the training and interaction sessions.
