Mohsin Khan delivered a sensational bowling performance in IPL 2026, becoming the first player this season to claim a five-wicket haul. However, Rinku Singh stole the spotlight with a brilliant unbeaten 83, helping Kolkata Knight Riders post a fighting total against Lucknow Super Giants.
After winning the toss, LSG captain Rishabh Pant opted to bowl first—a decision that paid off immediately. Mohsin Khan produced a fiery spell, dismantling KKR’s top order with figures of 5/23 in four overs, one of the best performances of the season.
He struck early by dismissing Tim Seifert for a duck, followed by the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane (10) and Cameron Green (34). Mohsin continued his dominance by removing Rovman Powell and Anukul Roy, leaving KKR struggling at 73/6.
Despite the collapse, Rinku Singh anchored the innings under pressure. With KKR in deep trouble at 93/7, he built a crucial partnership with the lower order and shifted gears in the death overs. He smashed 17 runs in the 19th over off Mohammed Shami and then exploded in the final over, hitting four consecutive sixes off Digvesh Rathi.
Rinku remained unbeaten on 83 off 51 balls, including seven fours and five sixes, guiding KKR to 155/7 in 20 overs—a total that once seemed unlikely after their early collapse.
With momentum on their side, LSG will look to chase down the target and secure an important win in the tournament.
