Diamonds to Trade Under One Roof at Surat Diamond Bourse 

Surat | Gujarat —If all goes well, the diamond manufacturing companies in the world’s largest diamond cutting and polishing hub of Surat will open their offices at the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB) and that the entire process of buying and selling diamonds by brokers will be managed from the same place. 

This was unanimously decided in an important meeting held with the diamond manufacturing companies at Surat Diamond Bourse, in which the plan to open offices at the SDB at the earliest, development of the industry, future plans and making the trading system more streamlined were discussed.

During the meeting, it was unanimously decided that diamond manufacturing companies will open their offices at Surat Diamond Bourse and keep their stock available here. Along with this, the entire process of buying and selling diamonds by brokers will also be managed from Surat Diamond Bourse itself.

Along with this, the goods will be stored safely by the manufacturers here using the advanced Safe Vault facility available at Surat Diamond Bourse.

This decision will make the diamond trading process more streamlined, centralized and secure and will create a reliable trading ecosystem for the entire industry.

Lalji Patel, vice chairman of SDB said, “Concentrating all the manufacturing and trading activities at one place at Surat Diamond Bourse will provide great convenience to the industry and security will also be strengthened due to facilities like SafeVault.” A truly important meeting of the rough diamond trading business partners has also been organized at SDB on Tuesday, March 31 at 11.15 am.

During the meeting, all the leaders present unanimously supported this decision and expressed their commitment to implement it in a coordinated manner.
