Hyderabad, India: Since its inception in 2013, HIITMS Academy in Ameerpet has steadily built a reputation as a centre for creative education in fashion design and makeup artistry. The institute has grown with a clear purpose: to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry skills.

Founded by Mr. Mohamed Rafiuddin, widely known among students as Rafi Sir, the academy reflects his belief that professional education should prepare learners for real careers. With experience as both a faculty member and an administrator, he recognised early on that many young people struggle in the workforce not due to lack of ambition but because of limited exposure to practical and industry-oriented training.

Guided by this understanding, he established the academy with the goal of designing programmes that combine creative learning with hands-on experience.

A Vision Rooted in Practical Learning

The story of HIITMS Academy is closely tied to the journey of its founder. What began as a small initiative with fewer than ten students has today evolved into an institution that celebrates more than 10,000 success stories.

From the beginning, the focus has remained on building courses that go beyond theory. Programmes in fashion design and makeup artistry are developed with strong industry integration so that students gain both technical knowledge and practical exposure.

This approach has helped learners not only develop their creative skills but also prepare for professional opportunities in the fashion and beauty industries.

Scholarships Making Creative Education Accessible

One of the defining initiatives of the academy is its scholarship programme, which aims to make professional education accessible to students from different economic backgrounds.

Every student enrolling at the academy is assured of a minimum scholarship of 40 percent, while exceptional candidates may receive scholarships of up to 100 percent. Through this initiative, the institution continues to encourage young creative minds who may otherwise hesitate to pursue specialised courses due to financial constraints.

The scholarship programme also seeks to raise awareness among students aged 16 to 24 who aspire to build careers in fashion and beauty, while also addressing the concerns of parents aged 40 to 55 who often look for reliable and career-oriented education options for their children.

Dual Certification and Global Exposure

The academy has introduced a distinctive academic structure where students benefit from dual certification. When a student registers for one course, they receive certification from two programmes, expanding the value of their professional credentials.

International collaborations further strengthen this model, offering students exposure to global standards and practices within the fashion and beauty sectors.

Along with structured learning, the institute also provides 100 percent placement assistance, helping graduates transition smoothly into professional roles.

Recognition and Career Outcomes

Over the years, the academy’s efforts have received recognition through more than a dozen awards, including the Telangana Business Award, the Gyan Bhushan Award, and the Achiever of the Evolve Global Runway honour for three consecutive seasons.

The institution also reports a placement record of around 90 percent, reflecting its continued emphasis on career-focused training.

As the creative industries expand across India and internationally, the academy continues to focus on building opportunities for aspiring designers and makeup artists who wish to turn their passion into a profession.

Continuing the Journey of Creative Empowerment

More than a decade after its founding, the academy continues to evolve with the same mission that inspired its beginning: equipping young people with practical knowledge, confidence, and professional direction.

Through scholarships, industry partnerships, and career support, it aims to nurture the next generation of creative professionals while making quality education in fashion and makeup artistry more accessible to aspiring students.
