Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], March 07:  The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has paid tribute to former Kalupur MLA Late Bhupendrabhai Sevakram Khatri (Patni), popularly known as Bhupendra Khatri, by naming a road in the Kalupur area in his memory. The stretch of road from Haja Patel ni Pol (Calico Dome) to N.C. Bodiwala College has officially been named ‘Late Bhupendrabhai Sevakram Khatri (Patni) Marg’.

A special ceremony was organized on the occasion, which was attended by Hon’ble Mayor of Ahmedabad Smt. Pratibha Ben Rakeshkumar Jain, Hon’ble Member of Parliament Shri Dineshbhai Makwana, Hon’ble MLA Shri Kaushikbhai Jain, along with several other dignitaries. The new name board of the road was formally unveiled in their presence.

Late Bhupendrabhai Sevakram Khatri (Patni) made significant contributions to the development of society and the local area during his public life. Due to his dedicated service and close connection with the people, he was widely respected and highly popular among residents of the Kalupur constituency. In recognition of his contributions toward the city’s development and public welfare, the road has been dedicated in his name.

A large number of local residents and community leaders were present during the program and expressed their gratitude to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation for taking this initiative. The naming of the road created a sense of pride and emotional connection among the people of the area.

On this occasion, Mr. Jvalit Khatri, son of Late Bhupendrabhai Sevakram Khatri, expressed his emotions and said,“Today is a moment of great pride and emotion for our family. My father dedicated his entire life to social service and the welfare of people. The naming of this road in his honor is not only a matter of pride for our family but also for the entire community. I sincerely thank the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, the Hon’ble Mayor, public representatives, and the citizens of the city for recognizing and honoring my father’s contributions in such a meaningful way. This honor inspires us to continue walking on the path shown by him and to contribute more towards society.”
