Surat SOG Busts Thailand-Linked Hybrid Cannabis Racket Targeting Youth

Surat | Gujarat — The Special Operation Group (SOG) has busted a well-oiled network of supplying hybrid cannabis imported from Thailand to the youngsters in the diamond city of Surat. A peddler identified as Saurabh Nareshbhai Chauhan, who is linked to a textile textile trader Rishabh Navratmal Mahnot, has been arrested by the SOG sleuths, while  the main accused is still at large. The police seized cannabis valued at over Rs 13 lakh. 

SOG successfully ensnares a drug peddler in a strategic operation.

SOG apprehended the suspect Saurabh Chauhan in possession of a significant amount of illegal hybrid ganja in the vicinity of the Adajan police station.  The SOG team strategically positioned a trap near the entrance of Sairam Row House on Honey Park Road, Adajan.  Saurabh Nareshbhai Chauhan, a 27-year-old involved in the textile business, has been apprehended.  A total of 374 grams of ganja has been confiscated, with an estimated value of Rs 13,09,000.  The individual taken into custody, Saurabh Chauhan, has ties to the textile industry and previously resided at the home of the fugitive Rishabh Mahnot, where he was responsible for delivering ganja on his behalf.

Details about the Thailand connection and the ‘client list’ have come to light.

SOG’s investigation has uncovered a startling global link within this network.  The primary suspect, Rishabh Mahnot, reportedly arranged for ganja to be shipped from Thailand in parcels, which he subsequently distributed to the youth in Surat.  Following the apprehension of Saurabh Chauhan, a significant discovery emerged when authorities scrutinized his mobile device.  SOG has discovered a compilation of young clients, complete with their names and mobile numbers sourced from the mobile device.

Distributing cannabis by focusing on young individuals from educational institutions

 Police Inspector Atul Sonara provided insights into the case, revealing that a list discovered on the accused’s mobile indicates that these individuals were engaged in selling ganja, specifically targeting teenagers from schools and colleges.  Recent findings indicate that mobile VPN usage has revealed connections to orders of ganja originating from Thailand.

Significant disclosures are expected to emerge from the hybrid ganja network.

The police have initiated an investigation regarding this list to determine how the accused were specifically targeting the youth.  This inquiry by SOG is expected to uncover significant findings regarding the hybrid ganja network operating out of Thailand.  Authorities are on the lookout for two individuals in connection with this case: Saurabh Chauhan and Agam Uttam Patel, who resided in Sairam Row House but fled during the delivery of a significant amount of ganja.
