Gandhinagar | Gujarat — The Government of Gujarat on Wednesday unveiled ‘Gujarat@75: Agenda for 2035’, a comprehensive roadmap for the state’s development over the next decade. The document was released by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who emphasized that this milestone marks both a celebration of Gujarat’s achievements and a renewed commitment to its future — aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The Gujarat@75 Agenda for 2035 aims to ensure that every citizen can “Earn Well and Live Well,” making Gujarat a model of prosperity and empowerment.

Samruddh Rajya; Samarth Nagarik — Vision for 2035

The newly launched Agenda for 2035 envisions ‘Samruddh Rajya; Samarth Nagarik’ — a prosperous state with empowered citizens. It charts out sectoral strategies across health, education, skill development, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, and environment, ensuring inclusive and balanced progress across all districts. The plan will serve as a guiding framework to track Gujarat’s growth trajectory towards its 75th anniversary in 2035.

AI-Driven Education and Employment for a Future-Ready Gujarat

The Gujarat@75 roadmap prioritizes education and skill enhancement to build a strong foundation for tomorrow. The state will introduce AI-based learning in 7,500 schools and establish 75 Advanced Skill Institutes to prepare a digitally proficient generation. The goal is to create 75 lakh new skilled jobs by 2035.

Health will be another major pillar of development, with the state focusing on expanding medical colleges, building a digital health network, and ensuring health insurance coverage for every family.

Green Gujarat: Clean Energy and Sustainable Development

As part of its commitment to a greener future, Gujarat plans to develop 750 green spaces as urban lungs, plant 7,500 Miyawaki forests, and recycle 75% of municipal wastewater. The state also envisions 75 iconic green buildings and will promote digital governance and e-services for every citizen.

In the energy sector, Gujarat aims for 75% of industries to run on green energy within a decade. The state will invest in hydrogen plants, achieve 75 GW of wind capacity, deploy 7,500 electric buses, and promote solar power, creating thousands of new green jobs.

Empowering Farmers, Entrepreneurs, and Innovators

The agenda focuses on prosperous farmers through crop quality improvement, agro-processing, and rural entrepreneurship. Simultaneously, Gujarat aims to emerge as India’s innovation and start-up hub, nurturing a strong ecosystem for entrepreneurs and researchers.

To drive economic growth, a ₹7.5 lakh crore infrastructure investment plan will enhance roads, irrigation, ports, transport, and water and energy networks, propelling Gujarat towards world-class standards.

4I Framework: Infrastructure, Innovation, Individuals, and Institutions

The Gujarat@75: Agenda for 2035 is structured around the 4I framework — Infrastructure, Innovation, Individual, and Institutions — ensuring development that is both future-ready and people-centric.

Developed by the Gujarat Rajya Institution for Transformation (GRIT) in collaboration with state departments and boards like GSIDS, GIDB, iHub, and ARTD, this blueprint provides a measurable, evidence-based approach to governance.

Unveiling this agenda, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reaffirmed that Gujarat@75 marks a major milestone in the state’s journey towards Viksit Gujarat@2047, driving India’s growth through innovation, sustainability, and citizen empowerment.
