IMPPA Yacht Debuts at IFFI Goa: A Cinematic Luxury Experience

The inaugural event for the impressive 52-meter super yacht named "RA 11" was recently held, with Goa CM Pramod Sawant in attendance. The yacht was organized by IMPPA in collaboration with the 55th International Film Festival of India in Goa following the first major event.
Goa : The Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association (IMPPA) received an enthusiastic response to the IMPPA YACHT, with many expressing their delight after experiencing this luxurious 7-star yacht featuring 3 decks and stunning furnishings and views. This marks a groundbreaking achievement for festivals in India, with each yacht measuring an impressive 21 meters in length. The inaugural event for the impressive 52-meter super yacht named “RA 11” was recently held, with Goa CM Pramod Sawant in attendance. The yacht was organized by IMPPA in collaboration with the 55th International Film Festival of India in Goa following the first major event.
Abhay Sinha, the president of IMPPA, emphasizes that as a producer body representing over 25,000 members since 1937, they aim to provide all IMPPA members and the film community with a distinctive opportunity to experience IFFI2024 in Goa, aligning with the prestigious standards of The Cannes Film Festival.
Over 30 producers have secured the yacht for exclusive launches, press conferences, and events. A significant event took place on a yacht, featuring notable figures such as Shekhar Kapur, Boman Irani, and Bobby Bedi, who addressed the audience with engaging insights. Bobby Bedi, known for producing films such as Bandit Queen and Maqbool, has unveiled his new production slate, Contentflow Studios, during an exciting launch party.
Atul Patel, the Vice President of IMPPA, states Over the course of four days at the film bazaar, this IMPPA yacht attracted over 1,000 visitors, leaving many celebrities pleasantly surprised by the impressive facility at IFFI Goa. The impressive IMPPA yacht was officially launched by Shri Vijaykumar Sinha, the Deputy CM of Bihar, alongside Shri Sanjay Jaju, the secretary of the I & B ministry, GOI, who both expressed their admiration and support for the producer body’s innovative endeavor.
Sushama Shiromanee, the Sr. Vice President, stated that the concept of providing small independent filmmakers with a venue to showcase their projects and connect with others in the unique atmosphere of this yacht gained significant traction during the four days of the film bazaar. IMPPA set up a booth at the Film Bazaar Marriott Goa, showcasing various subsidies from across the nation, alongside displays from private production entities.
A master class held on the yacht by Mr. Bertrand Moulier, Senior Advisor in International Affairs of the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF), drew significant interest from attendees. Bertrand provided valuable perspectives on copyright and intellectual property rights regulations on a global scale. IMPPA currently holds 25 affiliations with the association, and in 2024, it will add its 26th international affiliation with FIAPF.
This year’s IFFI2024 edition garnered significant attention with the introduction of this new element. The IFFI, ESG, NFDC, and IMPPA committees have achieved yet another notable accomplishment.
Atul Patel and Yusuf Shaikh played a significant role in the leadership of the 55th IFFI Goa and the 77th Cannes Film Festival on an international scale.
