Production Manager Arrested for Data Theft at Goldi Solar

NAVSARI, GUJARAT : Navsari cyber crime police arrested Dharmesh Vadsak, a production manager at Goldi Solar, on Thursday for allegedly stealing crucial data from the company. The arrest followed a complaint lodged by Mehul Doshi, a senior manager at Goldi Solar, at the Navsari town police station.

Goldi Solar, a prominent solar panel manufacturing company, is owned and partnered by Ishwar Dholakia, the nephew of BJP MP and diamond baron Govind Dholakia.

According to the complaint, Vadsak illicitly obtained the master ID and password from the IT manager. He then accessed and extracted sensitive data from the company’s server. The stolen information included sales and purchase records, customer details, production data, marketing strategies, and information on key international clients.

The cyber crime police booked Vadsak under IPC sections 381 (theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of master) and 408 (criminal breach of trust by clerk or servant), along with Section 72(A) of the Information Technology Act, which deals with the punishment for disclosing information in breach of lawful contract.

Vadsak was presented in a local court, which remanded him to one day in police custody for further investigation. Authorities are now working to determine the extent of the data breach and assess any potential damage caused by the theft.
