The 160-meter-long bridge over the Mohar River in Gujarat’s Kheda district is now complete, marking another step forward in this ambitious high-speed rail project.

This impressive structure features four full-span girders, each stretching 40 meters in length. The piers supporting the bridge vary in height from 9.9 meters to 15.7 meters, with a diameter ranging from 3.5 meters to 4 meters for a total of five piers. Strategically located between the Anand and Ahmedabad bullet train stations, the Mohar River bridge exemplifies the continued progress on the MAHSR corridor.

However, the Mohar River bridge isn’t the only impressive feat of engineering on the horizon. The construction of the colossal 1.2-kilometer bridge over the Narmada River in Gujarat is well underway. Additionally, plans are in place for an even longer bridge spanning 2.28 kilometers over the Vaitarna River in Maharashtra. These record-breaking structures will undoubtedly stand as testaments to India’s growing infrastructure prowess.

The completion of the Mohar River bridge signifies a significant step towards the realization of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project. This high-speed rail network promises to revolutionize travel between the two major cities, reducing journey times to a mere two hours compared to the current travel options. With continued progress on this transformative project, India is poised to usher in a new era of high-speed rail connectivity.
