Ahmedabad : The Gujarat Ex-Serviceman Seva Foundation is planning an extraordinary mass wedding ceremony only for the families of active-duty, reserve, paramilitary, and fallen soldiers in the Indian Army. This is an unprecedented show of unity and social support. The purpose of this event, which is scheduled for January 27, 2024, in the hamlet of Pachham in the district of Dhandhuka in the Indian state of Ahmedabad, is to pay tribute to the fallen warriors and assist their relatives.

An organisation committed to the welfare of families and individuals who have served in the Army, the Ex-Serviceman Seva Foundation is leading the charge for this momentous occasion.

The effort, which is appropriately called “First Mass Wedding of an Ex-Army Man’s Daughter or Son’s,” was the idea of a former Army man named Jitendra Nimavat and his hardworking team. Nimavat and his colleagues have rallied the support of many people of the community to throw this event because they are motivated by a desire to show our gratitude to those who have served our country and because they value companionship.

As Nimavat said,  “We are Army people, and we don’t have caste or religion bars within us,” emphasising the inclusiveness of the function. That is why a small number of Christians, Muslims, and Hindus have officially declared their candidature in this large wedding. As a humanitarian effort, we are reaching out to the families of the courageous warriors who have served our country valiantly and will continue to do so.

There were originally plans for 51 couples to be wed at this massive ceremony, which was to be the first of its like in India planned entirely by the families of serving soldiers. With 35 couples already registered, Nimavat and his staff are determined to make sure that everyone has a ceremony that they will never forget.

Love, sacrifice, and the steadfast will to serve are sure to be movingly celebrated during the occasion. The strong connections formed within the military community and the constant support shown to those who have devoted their life to safeguarding the country are evident in this.

In the words of Jitendra Nimavat, “This is not just a wedding ceremony; it’s a family reunion where we celebrate the spirit of the Army and the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers and their families.”
