Ahmedabad : The dedication of the Ayodhya Ram Temple has sparked a surge of jubilation across Gujarat, converting major cities such as Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot into mini Ayodhya. A tapestry of joyful festivities, devotional gifts, and lit streetscapes depicts a state brimming with religious fervour.

From dawn to dusk, the streets of these cities are filled with the sounds of songs, prayers, and devotional processions. Sobhayatras of singing devotees, decked with vivid flags and music, wind through the streets, culminating in gigantic havans and religious speeches. Devotees flock to historic Ramji temples, soaking in the spiritual atmosphere as the air fills with ardent prayers.

Gujarat’s metropolitan environment pulsates with the warm glow of colourful illumination, reflecting the celebratory mood of the event. Textile markets, a distinctive characteristic of Surat, are adorned with LED lights, while smaller Ayodhya installations grow up around towns, like as the one at Rajkot’s Virani High School Ground, which has a 28-foot cutout of Lord Ram and a realistic copy of the temple.

Technology mixes harmoniously with tradition, bringing a sense of modern wonder to the ceremonies. A drone display in Surat promises to decorate the nighttime sky with heavenly figurines of Lord Ram and Sita Mata, while LED screens around the city will live-stream the consecration event, ensuring that no one misses a beat.
