New Delhi [India], August 20: In a time when live entertainment is often defined by music, comedy and large-scale spectacles, Laksh Maheshwari is taking audiences in a different direction — towards stories.
His live experience, Khushiyan – A Journey to Find Joy, has emerged as a growing storytelling phenomenon, with 25,000+ tickets sold across India. What began as an exploration of happiness has evolved into a nationwide tour, connecting with audiences across Delhi, Bengaluru, Patna, Bhopal, Indore, Varanasi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
At the centre of the experience is a deceptively simple question: what makes us happy?
There is no fixed answer. Instead, Laksh explores the question through stories drawn from everyday life — relationships, friendships, memories, heartbreaks, successes, failures and the little moments that often go unnoticed. The format allows the audience to see their own experiences in the stories being told, making every show feel both personal and collective.
The scale of the response became particularly evident in Delhi. More than 2,000 people came together at Talkatora Stadium, marking the biggest storytelling show in India and becoming one of the defining moments of the tour.
But the success of Khushiyan isn’t only about numbers. Its journey points towards a larger shift in the way audiences are consuming live entertainment. People are increasingly looking for experiences that leave them with something beyond entertainment — a feeling, a thought, a memory or a conversation to take back home.
That philosophy has also shaped the way the tour has been built. Amol Gupta, Co-founder of DIY Solutions, has been instrumental in transforming Laksh’s vision into a nationwide touring property. From partnerships and marketing to production, logistics and on-ground execution, the DIY Solutions team has worked behind the scenes to create a consistent experience across cities.
The journey is far from over. With Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Kolkata still ahead, Khushiyan is continuing to travel across the country.
And perhaps that is what makes the tour stand out: while the show asks audiences where happiness comes from, its growing journey seems to be creating an answer of its own — sometimes, happiness is simply being in a room full of people, listening to a story that reminds you of your own.
