Vibrant Gujarat Summit : Commemorative Rs 20 Coin To Mark 20th Anniversary

Ahmedabad : In a unique tribute to the Vibrant Gujarat Summit’s 20th anniversary, the Union government has announced the minting of a special Rs 20 coin and the issuance of a commemorative stamp of the same value. This first-of-its-kind initiative shines a numismatic spotlight on the summit’s role in propelling Gujarat’s economic journey.

The Rs 20 coin, crafted from a gleaming blend of 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc, will weigh approximately 35 grams and boast a diameter of 44mm. Minted exclusively at the Mint, it will bear the official stamp of the Central Government’s authority, signifying its historical significance.

“This coin of 20 Rupees denomination will be minted only for the purpose of commemorating the 20 years of Gujarat Vibrant Summit,” declared Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Mines, S.J Haider, while addressing the media in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

The prestigious coin will be released by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, adding further luster to the occasion. To complement the coin’s numismatic glory, a Rs 20 stamp depicting the essence of the summit will also be unveiled by the Prime Minister.

This dual commemoration highlights the Gujarat Vibrant Global Summit’s transformative impact on the state’s economic landscape. Since its inception in 2003, the summit has evolved into a platform that fosters global partnerships, attracts foreign investments, and ignites local entrepreneurship.
