Gujarat : Sachin GIDC First To Implement Private Security During Diwali

Surat : Amidst the joyous fervor of the Diwali festival, Sachin GIDC (Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation) emerges as an unparalleled pioneer, standing alone as the lone industrial estate in Gujarat to execute an exclusive private security deployment during this festive period.

Nestled along the Palsana-Hazira national highway, the Sachin GIDC holds the distinguished title of being one of the oldest industrial areas in Gujarat, spread across a vast expanse of 700 hectares. This industrial bastion shelters a conglomerate of 2,250 manufacturing units, encompassing a diverse array of industries, including 1,700 textile weaving units, 100 textile dyeing and printing mills, 100 chemical units, 100 engineering units, and 250 ancillary units.

During the Diwali holiday, the Sachin Industrial Society, in concert with textile dyeing and printing mill associations, chemical mills associations, and the Sachin GIDC police, collaboratively orchestrate a meticulous private security deployment. Noteworthy is the fact that the expenses incurred for this security arrangement, covering both security personnel and vehicles, are collectively shouldered by the textile and chemical mills within the Sachin GIDC.

Mayur Golwala, Secretary of the Sachin Industrial Society, underscored the significance of this initiative, affirming, “Sachin GIDC, sprawling across 700 hectares, remains a vulnerable target during the Diwali festival closure. To avert potential security threats, we persistently arrange for private security surveillance, making Sachin GIDC the solitary industrial estate maintaining 24×7 security coverage during Diwali.”

Sources confirm the active partnership between the Surat Police and the Sachin GIDC authorities, ensuring continuous and comprehensive patrolling facilitated by private vehicles. The security personnel operate in rotating shifts, diligently monitoring every alley and corner within the Sachin GIDC to safeguard the premises.

Mahendra Ramoliya, Chairman of the Sachin GIDC Notified Area Authority, articulated, “Sachin GIDC proudly stands as the lone industrial estate in Gujarat, offering private security provisions during the Diwali festival. This robust security mechanism not only fortifies the area but also grants unit owners the freedom to celebrate the festivities with their loved ones, free from concerns about security.”
