Tahukar Hong Kong 2023 Shines Bright in a First-of-its-Kind Navratri Celebration

Surat : In a first-of-its-kind celebration that resonated with the vibrancy of Indian culture, the who’s who of the diamond industry gathered in Hong Kong for a spectacular two-day Navratri festival titled ‘Tahukar Hong Kong 2023.’

Organized by eminent diamantaires including Ravi Bodara, Hari Virani, Yogibhai, Gopal, and others, the event was graced by the esteemed presence of Ms. Renjina Mary Varghese, the Indian Consul General (commerce) in Hong Kong, on September 30th and October 1st.

Over 600 attendees, primarily comprising Gujarati diamantaires and their families, converged in the heart of Hong Kong at Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, to partake in the traditional Garba celebrations. The event featured captivating Garba beats delivered by the renowned Tahukar Beats from Palanpur, Gujarat, led by its promoter, Yogesh Purabiya.

To ensure an unforgettable Navratri experience, a talented team of 12 band members from Tahukar Beats, including Yogesh Purabiya, renowned for his studio recordings of famous Gujarati folk singers like Kirtidan Gadhavi, Kinjal Dave, and Geeta Rabari, traveled to Hong Kong.

Ravi Bodara, of FemAsia Limited and one of the leading diamond companies in Hong Kong, and the organizer of ‘Tahukar Hong Kong 2023,’ expressed his delight, saying, “The Navratri celebration in Hong Kong was organized for the first time in over a decade. Over 600 Gujarati families gathered for the event, which featured midnight snacks, dinner, and an abundance of fun and Garba.”

Notably, even the senior citizens of Hong Kong, including figures like Narsinh Dada, Ravjibhai, Pravinbhai Donda, and others, actively participated in the festivities with great enthusiasm.

The celebration featured the distribution of prizes and awards across various categories, spanning age groups from 5 to 13 years, 13 to 18 years, and 18+ years for both males and females.

To capture the cherished moments, the renowned photography company Movie Maker, led by Munnabhai, was specially invited to Hong Kong. They skillfully documented the event, capturing the couples and families who partook in the festivities. As a token of memory, all participants received beautifully crafted photo frames.
