New Delhi : Late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri ji’s 119th birthday was commemorated at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial, Motilal Nehru Place, New Delhi, by the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial Trust and the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management. Dostonbek and Kakhramon, two famous Uzbekistani musicians and vocalists, gave outstanding performances during the memorial event. This time around, a free health check-up camp was put up, and it attracted a lot of people.

The Chairman of LBSIM, Anil Shastri, presented a floral tribute to the late leader, highlighting Shastri Ji’s legacy of humility and service to the country.
Anil Shastri recalled his father, Lal Bahadur Shastri, and spoke highly of his ethics, perseverance, and courage. He said that Shastri ji has motivated the country’s young and farmers with his unwavering commitment to his cause. The motto he came up with, “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan,” which promotes agricultural independence, continues to be very well received by the Indian public. The years he served as Prime Minister of India were emblematic of his guiding principles. Respect for Gandhi’s ideas informed Lal Bahadur Shastri’s promotion of Gandhian values. He represents the values that Gandhi stood for and the greatness of India’s cultural tradition.
Puja Singh, curator of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial, gave a speech of gratitude to the crowd, highlighting the humble and unselfish nature of Shastri Ji’s life. She said, “The dedication of Shastri ji to the well-being of the people and the independence of our nation shone brightly.” He led with amazing humility and resolve, earning the respect and affection of his people and the admiration of foreign leaders.
