Bengaluru will host the Global Women’s Health Innovation Conference and Femtech & Innovation awards in October

Bengaluru : The second edition of the Global Women’s Health Innovation Conference, devoted to enhancing women’s health via technology, will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Hotel Royal Orchid in Bengaluru. The conference has expanded to include women leaders in investing and health technology, as well as amazing male allies who have shown a remarkable commitment to a health-equal future.
Reenita Das, the main advisory board member, offered some agenda highlights ahead of the conference announcement. “GWHIC takes a unique approach by starting with women over 65 and addressing critical issues related to elder women like dementia and chronic conditions,” she added. This break from the usual, in which most conferences focus on menstruation and infertility as key issues, lends an intriguing depth to the conference. The agenda will include the health difficulties that women face throughout their lives, as well as the best practises in Femtech and health tech that will help women.” Reenita Das is a worldwide health leader, healthcare advocate, strategist, and was named one of the top 100 women in healthtech and femitech, as well as Frost & Sullivan’s sole female vice president.
Padmaja Ruparel, Co-Founder of Indian Angel Network and Founding Partner of IAN Fund, joins the Advisory Board this year, bringing the much needed and crucial viewpoint from VC’s and angel investors to the programme.
“Unveiling the Unseen: Caring for the 65+ Women” is a groundbreaking panel focusing on the health of older women. Dr. Arvind Kasthuri, Professor of Community Health at St John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, Dr. Radha S Murthy, Co-Founder&Managing Trustee, Nightingales Medical Trust, and Uma Nambiar, Co-Founder and Chairperson, Digital Health India Association (DHIA), will be among the panellists. Bharat Gera, Founder of Human Centric Healthcare Ecosystem (HCHE), moderates the panel.
The difficulties and potential of menopause, which Female Founders Fund considers a $600 billion market, will be explored in a special panel chaired by Swathi Kulkarni, Co-founder and CEO of Elda Health. Ann Garnier, Founder and CEO of Lisa Health, and Dr Mridula Pore, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Peppy, both global menopausal pioneers, join her on stage.
Sanjeev Malhotra, CEO of NASSCOM’s Centre of Excellence for IoT and AI, and FEMTECH pioneers such as Sanj Singh, CEO of Temple Therapeutics, and Shailja Dixit, CEO and Founder of Curio Digital Therapeutics are among the key speakers.
