Fazilka  :  Goldi Solar, a leading Indian solar brand, has partnered with the Committee of Asafwala War Memorial in Fazilka, Punjab, to provide solar power to this historic sacred war memorial and museum near Indo-Pak border, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Eminent dignitaries such as Shri Narinderpal Singh Sawna, MLA Fazilka, Dr Senu Duggal (IAS), District Collector, Fazilka, Shri Sandeep Gilhotra, President of The Saheed Ki Samadhi Committee, and others attended the inauguration.

“We are honoured to dedicate this project to the brave soldiers who fought and sacrificed their lives for our country,” said Capt. Ishver Dholakiya, Founder & Managing Director of Goldi Solar. The addition of solar panels to the Asafwala War Memorial represents our appreciation for their sacrifice. We hope that this project will inspire more people to use clean energy solutions in order to achieve carbon neutrality. Our vision is to bring sustainable energy solutions to help humanity create a better future.”

Sandeep Gilhotra, President of The Saheed Ki Samadhi Committee, expressed gratitude to Goldi Solar for taking this initiative. “Since 1972, the Shaheedon Ki Samadhi Committee has been preserving this magnificent war memorial, which houses the ashes of 82 jawans from the 4-Jat Regiment.” This initiative will make the war memorial energy independent and save money on electricity for the next 25-30 years.”

Goldi Solar is on a mission to bring sustainable energy solutions to Indian communities. Recently, the company partnered with the Shree Ramkrishna Knowledge Foundation (SRKKF) as an execution partner for the solarization of Dudhala, a village in Gujarat, to provide free electricity to 350 families. Similarly, under the leadership of SRKKF, Goldi is in the process of carrying out a project to install solar power plants in the homes of 750 martyrs, India’s unsung heroes.
