Nair Welfare Association (NWA) forms women wing ‘Vanitavedhi’ on International Women’s Day

Surat : The Nair Welfare Association (NWA) Surat celebrated International Women’s Day by establishing the Vanitavedhi wing of the NWA—the women’s wing. The event was followed by the NWA’s Silver Jubilee celebration on March 8.

About 300 people from the Nair community attended the NWA’s Vanitavedhi wing’s office-bearers’ swearing-in ceremony. Prameela Nair has been named president of the NWA’s Vanitavedi wing, Sreeranjini Jayachandran as secretary, and Shalini Rakesh as treasurer. Sarira Sinha from Vadodara delivered a talk on ‘Love You Zindagi’.

NWA organised a series of cultural programmes for its community members to commemorate its Silver Jubilee, followed by an Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The NWA named Mahesh Pillai president, Jaychandran Nair secretary, and Narendran CA treasurer.
