Shree Ramkrishna Trust hosts “Pure Vivaah” mass marriage ceremony in Surat

Surat : Shree Ramkrishna Exports’ (SRK) Shree Ramkrishna Welfare Trust is holding a mass marriage ceremony as part of its corporate social responsibility to the youth of the community. SRK is best known for its dazzling diamonds and jewellery sold all over the world.

To celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on February 25, the SRK Welfare Trust has organised a mass wedding ceremony called “Pure Vivaah,” during which roughly 70 couples will exchange wedding vows.

Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Gujarat BJP President and MP CR Patil, Union Minister of State for Railways Darshana Jardosh, state ministers, MLAs, senior bureaucrats, and other dignitaries will attend the mass marriage ceremony and bless the couples.

Jayantibhai Narola of Shree Ramkrishna Welfare Trust, said, To mark 75 years since India’s independence, the Shree Ramkrishna Welfare Trust is holding a number of celebrations. As a way to show their appreciation to the community, the Trust decided to launch several groundbreaking projects as a part of the festivities. As part of this, the little village of Gopin is hosting a huge festival called “Pure Vivaah Lagnotsav.” In this large-scale wedding, 68 couples will join together in matrimony.

Govindbhai Dholakia, founder of the SRK Knowledge Foundation, remarked, “All the brides who are being married are like our daughters.” They will feel as though they are getting married in the comfort of their own homes rather than in a large group ceremony because of the way we have planned the mass wedding.

Young brides will have their kanyadaan ceremonies performed by the partners of Shree Ramkrishna Exports and other honoured guests. As wedding gifts, Shree Ramkrishna Exports will provide the brides with items and valuables totaling Rs. 3 lakh.

Tulsi seedlings will be given out as a special greeting to the guests and people taking part in the wedding processions.

Celebrations centred on young daughters

At the mass wedding ceremony, Shree Ramkrishna Welfare Trust will honour women who have brought honour to India in various sectors, as well as perform the kanyadaan for 70 brides. A few of the honorees are Pritiben Patel, a police officer who has won worldwide athletic accolades, Shreya Thummar, a young woman who has already received a job offer from The World Bank, and Dhruvi Jasani, a student who has been accepted to the NASA University. Fathers of 10 accomplished daughters will also be honoured.
