Surat to host first-ever Memon Mega Summit

Surat (Gujarat): Surat, the city of diamonds, will host the first-ever Memon Mega Summit, to propel the Muslim community and other communities in the country in various fields. The Dhoraji Memon Trust-Surat, led by president Sohail Sawani, is organising a two-day Mega event on the Rander-Gorat road beginning January 7.

More than 5,000 people are expected to attend the Memon Mega Summit from across the country and abroad, including the UAE, the UK, and the United States, as well as students and job seekers from other communities and the Memon-Muslim community.

“This is the first time ever that such a large summit is being organised in the country, let alone in Surat,” said Sohail Sawani, president of Dhoraji Memon Turst-Surat. The summit will include an education fair, a job fair, interactive seminars, a skill competition for youth, ideas for women empowerment, a public speaking contest, a startup pavilion, an investors summit, and other activities over two days.”

Padma Shri Savji Dholakia, chairman of Hare Krishna Export, will be the keynote speaker, along with other notable individuals such as CA Ravi Chavcharia, Aslam Charania, Faruk Patel, chairman and managing director of KP Group, and others.

“Dhoraji Memon Trust is formed by Muslim Memons from Dhoraji village in Rajkot,” Sawani explained. We have approximately 15,000 members in India and around the world. The summit has a separate pavilion for universities, schools, colleges, distance learning, foreign education, and other educational institutions.”
