47th Gujarat Para Athletics Championship Inspires

Ahmedabad : The 47th Gujarat State Para Athletics Championship was held at Nikol in Ahmedabad, bringing together over 400 disabled athletes from across Gujarat and other states. This remarkable event showcased the indomitable spirit and athletic prowess of para-athletes, many of whom have excelled in national, international, and Asian Para Athletics Games.

The championship featured a diverse range of events, including shot put, javelin throw, wheel throw, 100 and 200-meter sprints, long jump, high jump, and club throw. This platform not only highlighted the skills of the participants but also served as a significant milestone in their athletic journeys.

During the event, more than 45 talented athletes were selected to represent Gujarat at the National Games. These athletes are currently undergoing rigorous training under the guidance of the Gujarat State Para Athletics Association (GSAA), which is dedicated to fostering sportsmanship and nurturing athletic talent among individuals with disabilities.
