Morbi (Gujarat) [India] : As many as 12 labourers were killed in the wall collapse incident at the Halvad Industrial area in Morbi district in the morning hours.
The wall collapse incident took place at Sagar Salt Factory situated inside the Halvad industrial area. State Labour and Employment Minister, Brijesh Merja confirmed the death of 12 labourers at the salt factory in Halvad.
According to Merja, the rescue operation at the salt factory is still going on to sear the whereabouts of other victims stuck in the debris”
The Halvad administration had to make use of the bulldozers to bring out the bodies and rescue those trapped inside the rubble.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced Rs 4 lakh each from the CM Relief Fund to the next of the kin of each worker who died in the wall collapse incident in Morbi.
