Dahej Port (Bharuch) | Gujarat — Youth from Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and Maharashtra who visited Gujarat under the Youth Exchange Program of Naxal-affected areas were very impressed by seeing Adani Dahej Port and the sea. Many youth were surprised after reaching the important place of import and export of the country. They were very impressed by the visit to one of the centers of progress of the country and expressed their curiosity by asking many questions about the functioning and management of the port.

The youth are visiting Gujarat under the Youth Exchange Program organized by My Bharat-Bharuch, a program of the Central Government and a program of the Ministry of Sports, in collaboration with the Union Home Ministry. 250 youth from Naxal-affected districts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and Maharashtra visited the Statue of Unity at Pratham Kevadiya in Gujarat and then visited Adani Port at Dahej, Bharuch for an industrial visit. This visit was organized under Project Udan of Adani Foundation.

The main objective of this program is to strengthen national unity and empower youth. On this occasion, a total of 275 representatives, including 250 tribal youth from Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and Maharashtra, as well as 25 state government officials, visited Adani Petronet (Dahej) Port Limited. Under Secretary, Union Home Ministry Rajkumar, Dean, Birsa Munda Tribal University Minal Vasava, Deputy Director, My Bharat Pankaj Yadav and many other officials were also present.

Adani Foundation and Adani Port welcomed the guests and made their visit memorable by planting over 100 trees in the port premises, reflecting their commitment towards environmental protection. The youth visited key facilities like Safety Excellence Centre, Jetty, Marine Control Room, Operations Control Room and Silo, through which they gained a comprehensive understanding of port operations, safety systems and management procedures. Through such programmes, Adani Dahej Port has reaffirmed its commitment towards inclusive development, youth empowerment and social development, which are aligned with India’s National Development Goals.
