World’s first longest Rapier Jacquard machine to be launched at SGCCI’s SITEX Expo in Surat

Surat (Gujarat): Textile entrepreneurs in the synthetic fabric capital of India in Surat will have an opportunity to witness the world’s first longest Rapier Jacquard machine and the ‘Make In India’ 2688 hock electronic Jacquard machine and positioning printing machine of 400RPM capacity at the three-day long 7th edition of the Surat International Textile Expo (SITEX) organised by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) beginning on January 7.

Himanshu Bodawala, president of SGCCI said, “The 7th edition of the SITEX series of the exhibition will cover the entire value chain of the textile industry. The main objective of this ambitious exhibition is to give a new direction and momentum to the textile industry in Surat”

“This exhibition for textile technology and machinery will directly benefit the growing textile industry of Surat.  SITEX will be an important step towards a truly self-reliant India (Aatmanirbhar Bharat), which will be very helpful in generating large-scale employment along with productivity growth” added Bodawala.

Minister of State for Textiles Darshana Jardosh will inaugurate SITEX Expo in the presence of Textile Commissioner Roop Rashi and other dignitaries.

Bodawala stated the world’s longest Rapier Jacquard machine is about 420 centimeters in length. The machine is being displayed for the first time in Surat. In Surat, Rapier Jacquard machines are having a length of 380 centimeters.

According to SGCCI’s exhibitions chairman Bijal Jariwala, the SITEX expo will witness the launch of a high-speed electric jacquard machine made in India. The electric machine is loaded with various and can be easily fitted on the direct machine at minimum height (8. p) without installing a girder.  Apart from this, due to this machinery, there is no need to install gutters to install Jacquard.

Apart from this, an electronic jacquard machine with 400 rpm and an R688 hook made in India along with super high-speed TFO will also be launched at the CTEX exhibition.  Moreover, a multi-feeder circular knitting machine will be launched.  A positional digital printing machine useful for embroidery and jacquard fabric will also be a center of attraction.

Over 100 exhibitors will be exhibiting state-of-the-art textile machinery at the SITEX Expo to be held at Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC) at Sarsana. The exhibition will be held in the 1.30 lakh square feet area at SIECC.
