World Trade Expo to be held in Mumbai from 3-4 Oct 2023
Mumbai : The 4th annual World Trade Expo, the largest commercial platform in India for facilitating worldwide trade links, particularly for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), will be inaugurated by Ramesh Bais, Governor of Maharashtra.
The World Trade Centre in Cuffe Parade in Mumbai will host the Expo on October 3–4, 2023. With the goal of highlighting technology’s role as a vital driver of commerce and tourism, the World commerce Centre Mumbai and the All India Association of Industries (AIAI) are hosting this event together.
It’s a great place for small and medium-sized businesses to find out about trade, tourism, and technology exchange possibilities throughout the world. Dr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman, World Trade Centre Mumbai, said, “This unique trade show will facilitate networking for MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, Start-ups, and Corporate Houses with diplomatic missions from more than 25 countries, Chambers of Commerce, and Government agencies.”
To this Dr. Kalantri stated, “World Trade Expo will be a promising platform to showcase trade and investment opportunities in the participating countries to local MSMEs, start-ups, and other stakeholders through Country Presentations, Knowledge Sessions, and Exhibits.”
Six state governments, over thirty nations, fifty multinational corporations, export promotion councils, and other trade promotion groups have all participated in previous World Trade Expos. More than 7,000 company delegates attended these previous events, leading to over 5,000 B2B meetings that generated joint ventures, technology tie-ups, export inquiries, and more.
Delegates from the MSME Exporters, Importers, Corporate Houses, Startups, Distributors, women entrepreneurs, traders & distributors, diplomatic corps, state government officials, industry associations, industry experts, travel agents & tour operators, financial institutions, consultants, service providers, students, and researchers will attend the current edition.
Trade, technology, tourism, investments, and joint ventures are all themes that will be discussed during the many information sessions and country presentations that will be held throughout the Expo. Additionally, specialists will provide practical advice on how to capitalise on new developments in international markets.
Ms. Rupa Naik, Executive Director, WTC Mumbai, highlighted the significance of this Expo, saying, “A key objective of the Expo is to provide guidance to budding entrepreneurs on expanding their business globally.” As the world’s attention turns to India in the wake of the G20 Summit, Indian businesses couldn’t be in a better position to make use of the summit’s productive platform. One District One Product (ODOP) items that have export potential will be shown in dedicated pavilions during the Expo.
