Breaking News: Train Derailment near Amargarh Disrupts Rail Services

Amargarh : The train No 12494 H. Nizamuddin – Miraj experienced a derailment of its engine and power car between Amargarh and Panchpipaliya at approximately 6.48 am on Saturday. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties or injuries among passengers or railway staff.

This unfortunate event occurred within the Ratlam – Godhra section and was attributed to a large boulder that had fallen onto the tracks due to heavy rains.

Promptly after the derailment, authorities sprang into action. At 6.49 am, an Accident Relief Medical Equipment (ARME) team was dispatched, departing from Ratlam at 7.07 am.

Additional help in the form of an Accident Relief Train (ART) was also requisitioned from both Ratlam and Dahod, with the ART from Ratlam leaving at 7.31 am. Senior Railway officials swiftly arrived at the site to assess the situation and coordinate the restoration efforts.

The Down line has been successfully cleared, allowing for the resumption of train movement. However, the Up line remains encumbered as the restoration work continues.

To ensure the comfort of the affected passengers, refreshments are being provided as they await further instructions. The railway authorities are committed to resolving the situation as swiftly as possible and minimizing the inconvenience caused to travelers.
