Western Railway Announces Special Trains From Surat to Mahuva and Veraval

Surat : In response to the rising travel requirements and for the convenience of passengers, Western Railway has announced the introduction of special train services between Surat, Mahuva, and Veraval. These dedicated services are scheduled to operate on special fare, aiming to cater to the increasing travel needs.

Sumit Thakur, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, released a press statement outlining the details of these newly introduced services:

Surat-Mahuva Special (Train No. 09111/09112):

Commencing from December 6th, 2023, until January 31st, 2024, Train No. 09111 will depart from Surat at 22:00 hrs on Wednesdays and Fridays. It will reach Mahuva at 09:10 hrs the following day. Conversely, Train No. 09112 Mahuva-Surat Special will depart from Mahuva on Thursdays and Saturdays at 13:15 hrs, arriving at Surat at 02:30 hrs the subsequent day. The train will make halts at key stations including Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Gandhigram, Bavla, Dholka, Dhandhuka, Botad, Ningala, Dhola, Dhasa, Damnagar, Liliya Mota, Savarkundla, and Rajula in both directions. It will comprise AC Chair Car, Second class Sitting, Sleeper Class, and General Second-Class coaches.

Surat-Veraval Special (Train No. 09017/09018):

Starting from December 11th, 2023, until January 29th, 2024, Train No. 09017 will depart from Surat every Monday at 19:30 hrs, reaching Veraval at 08:05 hrs the following day. The return journey, Train No. 09018 Veraval-Surat Special, will depart from Veraval every Tuesday at 11:05 hrs and arrive at Surat at 23:45 hrs on the same day. Stops along this route include Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Gondal, Jetalsar, Junagadh, Keshod, and Maliya Hatina. Similar to the Surat-Mahuva Special, this train will offer AC Chair Car, Second class Sitting, Sleeper Class, and General Second-Class coaches.

Bookings for both these special trains, Train No. 09111/09112 & 09017/09018, are open at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) Counters and on the IRCTC website.
