Vibrant Gujarat summit : MoUs worth Rs 24,707 crore signed

Gandhinagar : As many as 30 MoUs amounting to Rs 24,707 crores were signed at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit held here on December 27.

The event was among the several programmes lined up ahead of the 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 to be organized between January 10 and 12 at the Mahatma Gandhi Mandir.

The operationalization of the MoUs is expected to generate direct and indirect employment opportunities for more than 38,000 youth across diverse sectors in Gujarat, a state government spokesperson said.

Minister of Industries Balvantsinh Rajput and Minister of Water Resources Kunvarji Bavaliya remained present when the MoUs were signed.

MoUs inked during VGGS 2024 mainly encompass projects related to minerals, innovative housing and commercial buildings within urban development, townships, chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, jewellery manufacturing, green and solar energy, textile and apparel parks, engineering, automotive, animal healthcare, ethanol production, industrial parks, water supply, and skill development, among others.

During the MoU signing ceremony, the chief principal secretary to the chief minister K. Kailashnathan also remained present.
