Tragic Accident at Palej Railway Station Claims Life of Woman

Bharuch : A woman lost her life after being struck by a speeding train while attempting to cross the railway tracks at Palej railway station in Bharuch.

The victim, identified as Kusum Mansuri, aged 63 and a resident of Karjan in Vadodara, met a tragic end when she was hit by a swiftly passing train at Palej railway station.

The unfortunate incident unfolded as Kusum Mansuri was on her way from Palej to Vadodara. In a distressing turn of events, she found herself compelled to cross the railway tracks to reach Platform number 3 from Platform number 2. The foot-over-bridge, which would have provided a safer means of crossing, was inaccessible due to technical issues at the Palej railway platform.

Witnesses at the scene reported the horrifying collision between Kusum Mansuri and the speeding train, leading to her instantaneous demise. The impact of the accident left no room for survival, resulting in a tragic loss.

The Bharuch railway police promptly responded to the incident, ensuring that the victim’s body was sent for an autopsy at the Palej Community Health Centre. Subsequently, the body was handed over to the grieving family members of the deceased.
