Ahmedabad : Soon, travellers from Gujarat will have a new, less expensive way to see Thailand: Thai Lion Air is planning to start direct flights from Ahmedabad by the end of July. This project promises cheaper fares than current services and is directly aimed at meeting the growing demand for low-cost foreign travel.

Thai Lion Air is getting ready to start direct flights from Ahmedabad to Thailand by the end of July. The low-cost airline’s move into India will give people who want to travel to popular Thai spots an affordable option.

The Thai Lion Air will operate four days a week between Ahmedabad and Don Mueang airport. IndiGo and Spicejet are already catering on the Ahmedabad to Thailand route at hefty fares.

At 11:40 pm, flights will leave Ahmedabad and arrive in Thailand at 5:25 am local time. The planes back from Don Mueang Airport will leave at 8 a.m. and land in Ahmedabad at 11:40 p.m. The flexible schedule is meant to work for both vacation and business travelers who want to find cheap and quick ways to get around.

Chairman of the Travel Agents Federation of India (Gujarat Chapter) and Director of World Travel India Limited, Ronak Shah, talked about how important it is for Gujarati travelers, especially those from Ahmedabad, to choose Thailand as a location. “Thailand remains a top choice for Gujarati families and couples seeking vacations, with destinations like Phuket and Krabi being particularly popular,” Shah said. With Thai Lion Air’s low-cost trips, he thinks that more people will want to travel.

The low-cost service from Thai Lion Air should not only make it easier to travel between Gujarat and Thailand, but it should also boost business and tourist ties between the two countries. The airline’s policy of low prices is meant to make international travel easier and more appealing to a wider range of travelers.
