Tapti Valley to Host 6th Gujarat State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025 in Surat

Surat | Gujarat — Local paddlers Frenaz Chipia and Filzahfatema Kadri will start as firm favourites as the Tapti Valley 6th Gujarat State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025, organised by Table Tennis Association of Surat District (TTASD) under the aegis of Gujarat State Table Tennis Association (GSTTA), will be held from September 3 to 6 at the Tapti Valley International School, Narthan in Surat.

Tapti Valley International School is the title sponsor while Stiga is the equipment sponsor of the tournament in which a total of 501 entries have been received.

Vadodara’s women’s champion Frenaz and Filzahfatema can expect a stiff challenge from Jayswal sisters-Namna and Riya from Bhavnagar.

In the men’s section, Vadodara winner Jaynil Mehta will be the one to watch out for as Surat’s Ayaz Murad and Aayush Tanna will look to mount a challenge on their home turf.  

Among junior players, Pratha Pawar, Janmejay Patel, Dhyey Jani, Daniya Godil, Dev Bhatt and Himansh Dahiya will eye for titles.

President, GSTTA and TTASD, shri Pramod Chaudhary, informed that the venue is all set to host the state tourney. “As many as 13 tables will be used in the meet. Year after year we have provided the best infrastructure and facilities for our state-level players and this year will also be the same,” shri Chaudhary said.
