Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Highlights Dawoodi Bohra Legacy in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The leader of the worldwide Dawoodi Bohra community, His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, today addressed thousands of community members at Qutbi Masjid in the Astodia area on the death anniversary of the 32nd Dai, Syedna Qutub Khan Qutbuddin. Buried in Mazar-e-Qutbi, Saraspur, Syedna Qutbuddin is deeply revered by the community in Ahmedabad and across the globe.

During his address to over 45,000 community members gathered at the Qutbi Masjid Complex and other community centers across the city, Syedna spoke of the enduring connection between his predecessors and the city of Ahmedabad. He recalled how his esteemed father and grandfather visited the city over the years, leaving an indelible mark on the community through their leadership and guidance.

Recounting the noble virtues of Syedna Qutbuddin, Syedna Saifuddin elaborated on the true meaning of leadership and how it entailed making sacrifices for the sake of the community. Syedna narrated the  incident of Syedna Qutub Khan Qutbuddin’s martyrdom in Ahmedabad at Karanj, on the banks of the Sabarmati River.

Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin arrived in Ahmedabad from Mumbai on Thursday 26th December for a three day visit. 

For generations, the Dawoodi Bohra community has been an integral part of Ahmedabad’s socio-cultural and economic fabric. With more than 8,000 members residing in neighborhoods such as Jamalpur, Vatva, Kalupur, Khanpur, Paldi, Navrangpura, and Gandhinagar, the community plays a vital role in the city’s thriving business ecosystem. Through their entrepreneurial spirit and dedication, they have made significant contributions to Gujarat’s economic development and prosperity.
