Gandhinagar: The two-day Startup Bootcamp at Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University commenced on Friday with an engaging first day, drawing participation from 100 aspiring entrepreneurs from various academic institutions across Gujarat. Designed to take startups from ideation to funding stage, the bootcamp featured expert-led sessions, hands-on learning, and invaluable networking opportunities on the first day.
The day began with an inaugural address by Dr. Ragin Shah, Provost of Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, who highlighted the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset. “Entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business; it is about resilience, adaptability, and the courage to turn ideas into reality. This bootcamp serves as a launchpad for creative minds, equipping them with the skills, mentorship, and confidence to lead the future,” he said.
Snehal Desai, renowned startup mentor & management consultant and a Board of Governors member at Swarrnim, delivered an inspiring keynote session, delving into entrepreneurial success. He debunked common startup myths and emphasized the importance of mental resilience, strategic execution, and creating high-value service experiences. “In today’s fast-paced digital world, mental strength, strategic planning, and a well-defined approach are crucial for success. Entrepreneurs must embrace calculated risks and focus on sustainable growth rather than short-term gains,” he said.
Following the keynote, Mahendra Chaudhari, CEO of NIDHI TBI at IIPHG, spoke about the crucial aspects of startup validation, market research, and leveraging government support for early-stage businesses. He provided an in-depth analysis of DPIIT certification benefits and shared strategies for navigating the funding landscape.
Later in the day, aj Shah, founder of WeHear, talked about his entrepreneurial journey, offering a firsthand account of securing funding through Shark Tank and scaling a business in the competitive startup ecosystem.
The interactive sessions, coupled with real-world examples, helped participants refine their business models and gain a deeper understanding of market dynamics.
As the day concluded, Adi Rishabh Jain, Vice President of Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, said, “Entrepreneurship is not just about ideas but about executing them effectively. Through this bootcamp, we aim to provide students with the right mentorship, exposure, and resources to transform their vision into sustainable businesses.”
With an eventful first day setting the tone, participants left with data-driven insights, enhanced problem-solving skills, and a stronger foundation to take their startup ideas forward. The bootcamp continued on March 29 with more sessions, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences designed to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.
