Surat : Zimbabwe Vice President to Visit SGCCI for High-Level Trade Talks

Keeping in mind the important visit of the Vice President of Zimbabwe, a team comprising the Minister and Trade Promotion Officer from the Zimbabwe Embassy in New Delhi, as well as the Chief Director, Director – Bilateral Trade and Diaspora, Deputy Directors, Security Officers and High Level Protocol Officers from the Office of the Vice President of Zimbabwe had reached at SGCCI in Surat.

Surat | Gujarat — Following the invitation of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), the Vice President of Zimbabwe, Honorable General (Retd.) Dr. C.G.D.N. Chiwenga ‘GCZM’ and a delegation including Cabinet Ministers and Top Secretariats will visit the SGCCI on 22nd and 23rd August and that the preparations have begun in the Chamber of Commerce for this historic visit.

Keeping in mind the important visit of the Vice President of Zimbabwe, a team comprising the Minister and Trade Promotion Officer from the Zimbabwe Embassy in New Delhi, as well as the Chief Director, Director – Bilateral Trade and Diaspora, Deputy Directors, Security Officers and High Level Protocol Officers from the Office of the Vice President of Zimbabwe had reached Surat. This team had a meeting on Monday at The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in which this team had a detailed discussion on the preparations and security related matters of the Vice President of Zimbabwe during the two days of various meetings and programs.

The security team also reviewed the various visits to be held by the Vice President and the Zimbabwean delegation during Surat such as APMC, Textile Units, Sumul Dairy, Education Institutes, Diamond and Solar Industry as well as the venues of the ‘Chalo Zimbabwe’ program organized by the Chamber of Commerce at Platinum Hall, Sarsana, Surat on the evening of August 23.

SGCCI president,  Nikhil Madrasi, said that the delegation including the Vice President of Zimbabwe will hold two-day high-level meetings with the industrialists and leaders of Surat. The team of security and high-level protocol officers who arrived today were given detailed information about the entire program planning. The Chamber of Commerce has completed all the preparations to make the visit of the Vice President of Zimbabwe a success.

The Zimbabwean team that arrived at the Chamber of Commerce on Monday morning included Mr. Edson Moyo (Minister of Plenipotentiary) and Ms. Nomusa Mugwambi (Trade Promotion Officer) from the Zimbabwean Embassy in New Delhi and Ms. Irene M. Doroh (Chief Director), Mrs. S. Mateta (Director – Bilateral Trade and Diaspora (MOFAIT)), Mr. Bekithemba Bhebhe (Deputy Director), Ms. Tsungai Gozo (Deputy Director), Mr. William Mushore (DIO), Mr. Charles Chilapula (Protocol Officer (MOFAIT)), Ms. Siphathelokuhle Dube (Executive Assistant), Mr. Actwell Mashavave (Protocol Officer (OPC)), Mr. Mukudzei Chingwere (Journalist (Herald)), Ms. Abigirl Tembo (Journalist (ZBC)), Mr. Amos Dembetembe (Cameraman (ZBC)) and security officers Mr. Alex Mutanga, Mr. Patrick Matanhire, Mr. Aleck Chagwambare, Mr. Knowledge Chiturumani, Mr. David Kusotera, Mr. Julius Gumindoga, Mr. Kudakwashe James Mangombe, Mr. Noel Jack, Ms. Tatenda Dondo, Mr. Cyril Farai Gwatidzo, Mr. Artfree Maseko, Mr. Wellington Matamba, Mr. Bezel Maphosa, Mr. Maxwell Chiraramiro and Mr. Includes Simon Muza.
