SURAT : Surat has earned global recognition as renowned urban planner, engineer and scientist Dr. Pankaj Gandhi has been invited to serve as a Session Chair at the International Conference on Digital Technology Driven Engineering 2026 (ICDTDE2026), organised by the prestigious National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece.
Dr. Gandhi has been selected in recognition of his extensive expertise in hazard assessment and structural optimisation. He will chair two key technical sessions—ADDOPT2026, focusing on additive manufacturing and optimised structures, and HAZARDS2026, dedicated to hazard assessment, zonation, awareness, response and safety.
The international conference will be held in hybrid mode from December 17 to 19, 2026, and is expected to bring together engineering and technology experts from more than 58 countries.
“Dr. Gandhi’s appointment reflects the growing global recognition of his contribution to integrating risk management with modern engineering and urban planning,” conference organisers noted.
His selection is being seen as a proud achievement for Surat and India’s engineering community.
