Surat : In a vibrant celebration of numbers and problem-solving, the students of the government primary school in Bhatlai village, Surat, came together under the wings of the  upliftment project Adani Foundation to commemorate National Mathematics Day.

Marking the occasion with fervor, the young minds showcased an array of math-based projects crafted during their Diwali vacations. From intricate calculations to inventive designs, the exhibition displayed the creative prowess of students from classes III to VIII, shedding light on the depth and breadth of mathematics.

District Primary Education Officer and the CEO of Adani Hazira Port, graced the event at Surat District Panchayat-run Bhatlai Primary School. The Matrix Mela, specially curated for the day, aimed at fostering a love for math, elucidating its significance in everyday life, introducing India’s pioneering mathematicians, and demystifying the magic of mathematical routines.

More than 600 students hailing from 24 primary schools in Olpad and Choryasi Taluka of Hazira actively participated in this educational fair, showcasing their enthusiasm for learning. Dr. Deepakbhai Darjee, the Surat District Primary Education Officer, commended the Matrix fair’s initiative and the uplifting activities, urging for their continuous acceleration.

The President of Taluka Panchayat in Choryasi, Trupti Patel, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the exhibition held in the village’s own school, recognizing its immense value. Neeraj Bansal, CEO of Adani Hazira Port, emphasized the need for fundamental activities that contribute to holistic child development, encouraging their regular implementation.

Echoing this sentiment, the taluka primary education officers of Olpad and Choryasi urged teachers to integrate engaging activities into classrooms, especially in subjects like mathematics, ensuring the inclusion of every child.

Local leaders, Sarpanch Narmdaben Patel and Deputy Sarpanch Chotubhai of Bhatlai village, lauded these Matrix fairs and demonstration activities as invaluable for nurturing young minds. Amidst the educational fervor, the event also showcased colorful cultural performances by government school children, adding a vibrant touch to the uplifting project’s assistance.
