Surat : 24K Students Unite in Human Chain for Cleanliness, Safety & Health
This initiative, organized by the Police Commissioner's Office, District Administration, Surat Municipal Corporation, and District Education Officer's Office, aims to send a resounding message of cleanliness, safety, and health to the entire nation ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Surat on December 17.
Surat: In a powerful display of youth commitment, over 24,000 students from 43 schools and 22 colleges across Surat will form a unique “human chain” on December 15.
This initiative, organized by the Police Commissioner’s Office, District Administration, Surat Municipal Corporation, and District Education Officer’s Office, aims to send a resounding message of cleanliness, safety, and health to the entire nation ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Surat for the inauguration of Surat Diamond Bourse on December 17.
The human chain, stretching 15 kilometers from Athwalines to Piplod and Chosath Jogani Mata Mandir to Khatodara, will be formed in 30 blocks starting at 7 am. Students, dressed in their school uniforms, will hold up colorful placards showcasing the message of “Clean Surat, Green Surat, Fit Surat”. This visual display, synchronized across the 15 km stretch, promises to be a powerful symbol of youth engagement in building a better future.
Prominent figures including Gujarat BJP president and MP CR Patil, MoS Railways Darshana Jardosh, Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi, Minister of State for Forest-Environment Mukeshbhai Patel, and Minister of State for Education Prafulbhai Pansheria will grace the event with their presence, further amplifying the message of unity and action.
This initiative is a precursor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Surat on December 17. The students’ participation signifies their dedication to presenting a clean, green, and fit city to the Prime Minister and the nation.
Prioritizing safety and comfort, the organizers have ensured adequate mobile toilets, medical facilities, and water supplies throughout the event area. Clear signages will guide participants, ensuring a smooth and successful execution of this impactful initiative.
The “human chain” is more than just a visual spectacle; it is a testament to the power of youth mobilization in creating positive change.
