Speeding Dumper Kills 21-Year-Old youth in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad : A tragic accident occurred on Kathwara-Singarwa Road in Ahmedabad, where a speeding dumper truck ran over 21-year-old factory worker Chandan Yadav. The incident took place on October 2 as Chandan was returning to his workplace after a lunch break.

Chandan, employed at Shivam Industries, had stepped out for lunch and was walking back to the factory when the speeding dumper, bearing registration number GJ 09 AU 7784, hit him near the gate of Ankita Construction. The dumper driver, reportedly driving recklessly, struck Chandan, inflicting severe injuries to his body and left leg.

The injured worker was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital by an emergency ambulance. Despite the prompt medical attention, Chandan succumbed to his injuries later in the afternoon, at around 3:45 p.m. His family, devastated by the sudden loss, filed a formal complaint with the authorities.

Kameshwar Yadav, the victim’s father, who lives in Kathwara village, lodged a police report regarding the tragic accident. The case has been registered with the I Division Traffic Police, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the dumper driver, who fled the scene after the fatal crash.

The accident has raised concerns about the lack of enforcement of traffic regulations on roads near industrial areas, which often see heavy vehicles speeding and posing dangers to pedestrians and workers. Authorities are investigating the incident and pursuing the driver responsible for the fatal accident.
