SGCCI to Host ‘Sanskriti – The Mega Art Festival’ in Surat on Sept 12–13

SGCCI is bringing together art, culture, and creativity under one roof with ‘Sanskriti – The Mega Art Festival’, to be held on September 12–13, 2025, at Platinum Hall, SIECC Campus, Sarsana, Surat.

Surat | Gujarat — For the first time, the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) is bringing together art, culture, and creativity under one roof with ‘Sanskriti – The Mega Art Festival’, to be held on September 12–13, 2025, at Platinum Hall, SIECC Campus, Sarsana, Surat. The festival will run daily from 12:00 noon to 9:00 pm.

Gujarati film actress Sapna Vyas will inaugurate the festival as the chief guest, while renowned cultural personality Shri Yazdi Karanjiya will join as the special guest.

A Celebration of Art, Culture, and Youth Talent

Speaking about the festival, SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi said, “‘Sanskriti’ is not just a program, but a beautiful platform of youth power, creativity, and tradition. This festival will allow young minds to express themselves through art, culture, and innovation.”

The event will feature painting exhibitions, handicrafts, creative photography displays, live rangoli, and couch painting. To energize the youth, the program will also include Garba competitions, a music talent show, and a cultural panel discussion.

Vice president Ashok Jirawala added, “Surat has always been known for its entrepreneurial spirit. With ‘Sanskriti’, we want to give equal attention to our city’s creative spirit and cultural legacy.”

Workshops, Competitions, and Live Performances

On September 12 at 2:00 pm, filmmaker Dhruvin Jain, founder of Dhruvin Jain Film Academy, will host a short film-making workshop. Later that day, Prachin and Arvachin Garba competitions will be held, with decorations designed by Skate students.

The next day, September 13 at 12:00 pm, the festival will be inaugurated by Dr. Dakshesh Thakar, Provost of Vanita Vishram Women’s University. A panel discussion on Art, Culture, and Creative Expressions featuring Saurabh Desai, Vaishali Gohil, Tvisha Shukal, and Dr. Jasmine Kaur will take place from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The cultural evening will culminate with a music talent competition (5:30 pm – 7:30 pm) followed by a live performance by ‘Vishwa – The Band’ at 8:00 pm. Local artists including Kuldeep Vishwakarma, Nishant Patel, Mohit Bhaga, Dev Sharma, and Kritag Jariwala will also showcase their talents.

Inspiring Creativity and Cultural Exchange

Swatiben Sethwala, chairperson of the Chamber’s Art and Culture Committee, said, “‘Sanskriti’ is a unique opportunity for youth, artists, and handicraft experts to showcase their talent, connect with wider audiences, and inspire professional growth.”
