Sarvajanik University Becomes First in Surat to Issue Same-Day E-Degrees via DigiLocker
Over 2,000 students receive instant digital degrees at Sarvajanik University’s 4th convocation in Surat

Surat | Gujarat — The Sarvajanik Education Society (SES)-run Sarvajanik University has become the first university in Surat, probably in Gujarat, to issue e-degrees on the same day through DigiLocker to over 2,000 students at its 4th convocation ceremony held at the MTB cricket ground at Athwaline, Surat on Friday.

During the convocation ceremony e-degrees were issued via DigiLocker as part of the National Academic Depository (NAD) for secure, paperless access, allowing graduates to find their digital certificates in the ‘Issued Documents’ section after linking their Aadhaar/mobile on the DigiLocker
During the ceremony, a total of 2,114 students from various faculties and constituent colleges of the University were conferred Degree Certificates across Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes. In recognition of outstanding academic performance, 53 Gold Medals were also awarded to meritorious students.
Sarvajanik University, Surat, a leading private university, providing affordable education. The University offers multidisciplinary education across Engineering, Business and Management, Architecture and Interior Design, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Commerce, Law, Science, and Humanities, and currently comprises eight constituent colleges. A well-known academician, Dr. Rakesh Mohan Joshi, vice chancellor of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT attended the convocation ceremony as the Chief Guest, Justice (Retd.) Ravi R. Tripathi, former judge of Gujarat high court attended as the guest of honour.
The convocation ceremony was presided by president of Sarvajanik university, Ashish Vakil. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Kiran Pandya, along with members of the governing body and board of management of Sarvajanik university remained present.
The event witnessed the presence of more than 2,500 attendees, including graduating students, their parents, faculty members, university officials, and distinguished guests, marking yet another significant milestone in the academic journey of Sarvajanik University.
