Surat, Gujarat — In a pioneering step toward inclusive education and empowerment, the Sarvajanik Education Society (SES), a century-old pillar of learning in South Gujarat, has launched a series of vocational courses for differently-abled and mentally challenged individuals at its Zaveri Jain High School in Gopipura, Surat.
The initiative was inaugurated in a heartfelt ceremony attended by dignitaries including Jignesh Desai of Surat’s N. J. Group, who served as chief guest. SES President Bharat Shah, Vice President Ashish Vakil, and Kishore Desai also graced the event, which commenced with Ganesh Puja and Vedic chants.
“This effort is not just about teaching skills—it’s about restoring dignity, building independence, and giving every person a fair chance at life,” said Jignesh Desai in his inspirational speech.
Under this inclusive program, individuals can enroll in affordable courses such as Mehndi, Beauty Parlor, Nail Art, Sewing, and Basic Computer Skills. These courses are offered at nominal fees with refundable options, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.
“This vocational training center is not just a project—it’s a movement to ensure that every section of society gets an opportunity to become self-reliant,” said SES Chairman Bharat Shah.
The program is further strengthened by the collaboration of two organizations—Sahayam and Spandan—that are actively contributing to this humanitarian mission.
