Surat : The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Surat has organised a special passport drive to meet with the increasing demand for passports and its endeavor to reduce the long Tatkal waiting cycle on February 25.
In a press statement, RPO Surat informed that the appointments are released, consisting of 300 Tatkal and 600 general appointments at PSK Surat to utilize the full capacity of appointments—no PCC slots will be released.
The citizens are informed that each POPSK under the jurisdiction of RPO Surat will be functional on February 25 with its full capacity. However, it has been clarified that the appointments are released on February 22 and available for applicants who want to reschedule or prepone as well as for new applicants.
RPO Surat has stated that the applicants are advised to take decision carefully regarding preponement of appointments since the applicant fails to appear after rescheduling the appointment (single chance), he/she will have no opportunity to reschedule/choose another date. Ultimately it aims to reduce the long waiting cycle for passport appointment and help applicants who are interested in getting an early appointment for passport.
