RPO Surat launches special passport drive on April 29 to meet passport demand

Surat : The Regional Passport Office (RPO) has organised a special passport drive following increase in the demand for passports and to reduce the long normal and tatkal waiting cycle for the benefit of the citizens of South Gujarat on April 29.
According to the release issued by RPO office, the appointment consisting of 250 Tatkal and 500 General appointments will be released for PSK Surat (no PCC slots will be released). In this context, it is to be clarified that the appointments will be released on 27.04.2023 for applicants who wish to reschedule/prepone as well as for new applicants.
However, this opportunity will allow only one preponement, he/she will have no further opportunity to reschedule/choose another date.
Ultimately it aims to reduce the long waiting cycle for passport appointments and help applicants who are interested in getting an early appointment for passport.
