Rajkot, Gujarat : In a heartfelt tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajkot artisan Sanjaybhai Jethwa has meticulously crafted a unique turban that embodies significant milestones of the Prime Minister’s life and career. This extraordinary turban, made with 75 meters of cloth to commemorate PM Modi’s 75th birthday, stands as a testament to Jethwa’s admiration and craftsmanship.

Located in the Bajrangwadi area of Rajkot, Sanjaybhai Jethwa is renowned for his skill in crafting looped turbans, a rare art form mastered by few in the region. Reflecting on the arduous process of creating such intricate headwear, Jethwa expressed, “Making such a turban is very difficult, but I have honed my skills over more than a decade. This particular turban, dedicated to Prime Minister Modi, required the collaboration of five craftsmen working tirelessly day and night for five days.”

The dimensions of the turban hold symbolic significance: spanning 10 feet wide to mark PM Modi’s decade-long tenure as the 16th Prime Minister of India and standing 16 inches tall, correlating with his position in India’s leadership. Remarkably, this elaborate creation weighs approximately 25 kilograms and is valued at Rs. 11,000, with Rs. 7,500 worth of fabric used in its construction.

Expressing his profound admiration for PM Modi, Jethwa shared his aspiration to personally present the turban to the Prime Minister, though logistical details remain to be finalized. “When Prime Minister Modi visits Rajkot, I will strive to deliver this turban through local BJP channels,” he affirmed, while temporarily displaying the masterpiece in his shop until that opportunity arises.

Jethwa’s dedication to craftsmanship extends beyond political admiration, as evidenced by his previous tribute to Lord Shiva during the auspicious month of Shravan. In a gesture of devotion, he fashioned a turban adorned with 45 rings for the deity, subsequently offering it at the Ishwariya Mahadev temple in Rajkot.

Sanjaybhai Jethwa joins a league of admirers across India who have presented unique gifts to Prime Minister Modi, known for graciously accepting such tokens of appreciation. Previously, Rajkot’s Narendrabhai Sorathia captured national attention with a frame featuring 72 photos of the Prime Minister, symbolizing each year of his life, alongside a 1950 coin and international coins representing 195 countries.
