Purnesh Modi, Surat BJP MLA Behind Defamation on Rahul Gandhi, takes over the reins of UT in-charge

Surat : Purnesh Modi, a BJP stalwart hailing from Surat (West), renowned for his proactive stance and his role in the defamation case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi concerning a ‘Modi surname’ remark, has once again surged into the limelight as he assumes a pivotal role in the political landscape. His recent appointment as the in-charge of the Union Territory encompassing Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman, and Diu stands as a significant inflection point in his political trajectory.

Modi’s induction into this significant role was met with a grand reception at the Atal Bhavan in Silvassa, marking his maiden visit as the UT in-charge.
