PM Modi’s mother Hiraba admitted to Ahmedabad hospital, condition stable

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi was rushed to the UN Mehta hospital in Ahmedabad after her health deteriorated early on Wednesday morning, sources said. PM Modi has left his official residence in New Delhi to reach Ahmedabad.

Heeraben Modi, who turned 99 in June this year, has been admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad. A statement from the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre has said that her condition is stable. The hospital has not shared any other piece of information.

The BJP’s Gujarat MLAs Darshanaben Vaghela and Kaushik Jain have reached the hospital.

The Prime Minister, who has often spoken of his bond with his mother, visited her recently when he was in Gujarat to campaign for the recently held Assembly polls. Visuals of the Prime Minister chatting and having tea with Heeraben Modi then emerged on social media.

PM Modi’s family is passing from difficult times for the last couple of days. PM’s elder brother, his son and grandson met with an accident at Mysuru in Karnataka. Prahlad Modi’s Mercedes  Benz car met with an accident. However, Modi and his family members are safe and recuperating in the Mysuru hospital.

The Prime Minister had also visited her on her 99th birthday in June. To mark her centenary entry, the Prime Minister had also written an emotional blog titled ‘Mother’.
